Minimal Product Animations

Creating a good product animation is tricky. There’s the low-fi method of recording your screen, but that often can result in too much noise. A bunch of UI elements that distract or confuse the viewer. You then have custom animations that are more abstract to help explain a concept, but don’t accurately represent the real product. I think there needs to be a balance of using real UI, while focusing on only the important stuff. And that’s what I love about this example from Sprout Social. This launch post uses a minimal animation that only reveals the product UI as it becomes relevant.
