Even simple problems can make for amazing products. Case in point → the Coat Hinger. Coat hangers have been around since the 1800s. And Simone Giertz just reinvented them. She launched on Kickstarter this year and generated $500,000 in pre-sales. The problem was simple. Many people live in small spaces. With closets too shallow for a regular coat hanger to fit. Simone explained the problem using her own personal story and simple visuals. She then invented a new category of coat hanger to solve it.
