This is a really interesting example of how a technology shift can present opportunities to disrupt the category leader. But not in ways you might think. You'd think that the rise of Generative AI would mean challenger solutions would compete with Zoom based on fancy new AI features. But the post linked below actually shows how Zoom's policies around privacy and AI are actually creating an opportunity for solutions like Whereby to slide in and win (in specific cases). If you look atΒ Whereby's website, you can see that they are clearly focusing on markets with higher sensitivity to compliance and security: Digital Mental Health, Telehealth, etc. I think this presents a great opportunity.
