The Pop-Up Homepage

The no-homepage, homepage. This is something I’ve been seeing more of lately. I see it like this — if you are PLG and your product is easy to grasp, why make people go through your website when you can let them see it. Rows.com is an example of this. But I really like the approach from Typefully and Streamline. I call it the pop-up homepage. They drop you into their product, but present a pop-up with the messaging you would typically see on a homepage. If gives the context you need, but since you can see the product in the background, you're motivated to sign up and see more. Check out Typefully and Streamline to see for yourself.
