Here’s a cool example of using a social contest to highlight your differentiation. The founder of Capsule, a video editing software, posted this tweet challenging people to guess how long it took each of its main competitors to create the same video. I really like this idea because: 1. Capsule benefits from the Halo Effect. Placing itself beside Adobe, Veed, Canva, and Descript gives readers the perception that Capsule is also a strong contender in the category. 2. This contest puts the focus on one of Capsule’s core differentiators. Anyone who reads the comments in naturally going to see Capsule at the top of the list.
